What’s involved in the onboarding process?
Once you have had a successful interview, you will be invited to join our Helper community and start the onboarding process. This usually takes between 2-3 weeks. There is a small set-up charge (£36) to become a Helper, but you don't need to pay anything upfront. We deduct £6 per month from your earnings for 6 months, once you start visiting customers. The onboarding process includes the following:
Submit an online registration form: We ask for your contact details, emergency contact information, details of 2 referees (employment or character) and for information about any related courses you've completed.
Complete an Enhanced DBS check (criminal record check): All Good Life Sorted Helpers must have a current enhanced DBS check for working with vulnerable adults.
Complete the Onboarding Learning Flow: This includes an Introduction to Good Life Sorted and an Adult Safeguarding course. You can complete this online and it takes around 1.5 to 2 hours.
Book your slot for our live online Welcome Session: Held on Zoom with other new Helpers; this takes around 1.5 hours and is presented by one of our Founders.
As soon as you've completed the onboarding process, we can start introducing you to new customers.
